Hypnosis for Letting Go and Emotional Release
Some feelings stay long after the moment that caused them. An old hurt, a regret, a relationship that ended badly, words you wish you’d said or never heard. You may have moved on in every practical way, yet still feel the weight of it.
Hypnosis offers a gentle way to release what you’ve been carrying, so the past has less hold on how you feel today.
What clients often want to let go of
- Resentment or anger toward someone who hurt you
- Guilt or regret about choices you’ve made
- The end of a relationship, a breakup or a divorce
- Grief that feels stuck
- Old criticism that still plays in your head
- Ongoing stress and worry that keeps you tense
Why old feelings hang on
Understanding why you feel something doesn’t always change how you feel. Emotions are stored in a deeper, more automatic part of the mind than logic can easily reach. That’s why you can tell yourself “it’s in the past” and still feel the same knot in your stomach.
How hypnosis helps
In a calm, relaxed hypnotic state, we can:
- Look at old experiences from a safer distance, without reliving them
- Release the emotional charge attached to a memory or a person
- Build self-compassion and forgiveness, including toward yourself when that fits
- Create a clearer picture of moving forward, and what you want in place of the old feeling
You set the pace. We only explore what you’re ready to explore.
Working alongside other support
Hypnosis isn’t a replacement for counselling or mental health care. If you’re dealing with trauma, depression or anxiety that affects your daily life, please talk to your doctor or a mental health professional. Hypnosis can work alongside that support.
If you’re in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 9-8-8 (Canada’s Suicide Crisis Helpline) or call 911.
